F1's most successful driver, Michael Schumacher, will celebrate his thirty seventh birthday on Tuesday. The German, with seven drivers' titles, 84 victories and 142 podiums, is also currently the oldest and most experienced driver in pitlane, with 232 total Grand Prix, 1248 points, 69 fastest laps and 64 pole positions.

"I don't feel fear," the Ferrari driver said in an email interview with UK's Independent 'paper. “I feel respect sometimes, but I am absolutely in my element when in a cockpit and behind a steering wheel. I cannot even imagine this sensation ever stopping. I just love it.”

Schumacher's contract runs out at the end of this year, and so far the media has entertained every possibility - retirement, a new Maranello tenure, even a switch to a rival team like McLaren Mercedes or Red Bull.
“Really, I am a happy man - I have a wonderful family,” he continued. “And I had a wonderful hobby, which turned into a great job.”
