Sir Frank Williams 'It's an ambition, not a dream.'
Sir Frank Williams has refused to entertain speculation about who will replace Juan Pablo Montoya at a new-look BMW-Williams in 2005.
Through a spokesman, the knighted team owner offered 'no comment' to this week's news that in 2005, his racing Colombian will drive a McLaren.
The Briton has previously explained that only one man comes close to matching the track-talents of reigning world champion Michael Schumacher.
And that man is a 28-year-old racer from Bogota, the McLaren-defector.
Failing Michael, then, Williams - in 1999 - hired Schumacher's younger brother, Ralf, who still drives a blue and white, Grove-built racer.
But Williams still wants to see Schu Senior steer a FW-designated car.
'I would still like to have Michael as a Williams driver some time in the future,' he said. 'It's an ambition, not a dream.'
His hunch, however, is that Michael will step out of Ferrari and into obscurity.
Williams said: 'I have come to the conclusion that Schumacher is the best motor racing driver there has ever been. He is the complete package.'
