Michael To Sit Out Post-Season Tests
Reigning six-times world champion Michael Schumacher will play no part in the first tests of the upcoming post-season testing circuit.
Most grand prix racing teams, including the German's Ferrari outfit, return to the development tracks on November 28 when a current ban ends. But Michael, 34, will opt for a winter with his family - as has been the case in recent seasons - mostly hidden-away amidst the snow of a Norway retreat.
For now, Formula One circuits and a hard-fought quest for another historic, seventh, drivers' world title, are deliberately out of Schumi's mind. Asked what he expects of a likely three-way tussle for 2004 spoils between the reigning Scuderia, BMW-Williams and McLaren, Schumacher said: 'I don't even want to think about that now. I want to think about what we have just done. And I am looking forward to a holiday.'
Michael will attend the FIA prize-giving ceremony in Monte-Carlo next month, before he's bound for Trysil - his frozen secluded cabin in Norway. 'Over the past few years, I have realised how important it is for me to have a break, in order to get a motivation for the New Year,' Schumacher added.
