Michael Schumacher is now Ambassador
M.Schumacher  was  officially  invested  as  an  Ambassador of  the  Republic  of  San Marino in a ceremony taking place at  the  Palazzo  Pubblico  last  evening.
The small  Republic decided  to select  Michael Schumacher  as  an  Ambassador  of  San Marino not only because of  his achievements  as  a five-time  Formula One  World Champion but  also   because   the   German   is   actively   involved  in humanitarian  causes  with  Unesco  and  the  Bjorn  Steiger Foundation.
Michael  Schumacher  is  now  also  a special representative of  the  ICM institute, which works in the area of brain and spinal  column  defects,  such as epilepsy,  multiple sclerosis and  other  diseases  such  as  Alzheimer's  and  Parkinson's.
"I  feel honoured and proud to  have  been  nominated as an Ambassador  of  the  Republic of San Marino," said Michael.
"This  appointment  is   a  further   impetus   for   the   work I  already  do.  Unfortunately,  it is a fact that many people need our help. In particular,  our  attention, compassion and support is needed to help children  who  are not able to help themselves."  concluded  Michael Schumacher.
