Michael Can't Wait For Hockenheim
Even  though   he  managed   no  better   than   fourth  place, Michael  left  Silverstone  circuit  in  a good  mood.  He said "The fight  for the title is still open and that is the important thing,  I’ll  admit  I would have preferred to extend my lead over  Kimi,  but looking at  the race  with hindsight,  I cannot complain. The race itself  had moments of  real  madness and was  action  packed.  I  spent  much  of  the  race  far  down the field, so I can be completely satisfied with fourth place. Above all,  I am happy to see that we have made a consistent step  forward  in  terms  of  performance. This is reassuring because,  with  the  testing  ban,  we  won’t  be testing again until  the end  of  August,  but  I  can  take  heart  from  the knowledge  we are prepared for the next few races. Rubens drove a great race and won on merit. It was a well deserved victory."
Michael said  "I cannot  wait  to race at Hockenheim, Driving the  new  track is great fun. In my opinion, the modifications introduced  last  year  are  a great  success.  The new layout is very flowing  with  a few  tight  sections  which makes for overtaking opportunities.  Racing here is a real challenge and I like it.  Going to  Hockenheim  this year will also be special for another reason.  I  still  remember  coming here last year having  just  won  the  title  and I was able to celebrate with all  my  fans  at  the circuit. Then,  I went on to win the race, which  had  taken  me  a  long  time  to  achieve  with Ferrari and  that  was  the  icing  on  the  cake.  I  will  never forget the feelings of great  joy  and  endless  enthusiasm that day. We  had  a  fantastic  party  and  I  am  sure  that  this  year will  be  just  as  good.   Of  course,   we   won’t  be  able  to celebrate  the  title, but let’s hope we can take another win."
