UNESCO Award
for Michael Schumacher

| Michael
Schumacher received the prize in Paris
on Monday for his contributions
to UNESCO,
having funded a Senegalese school
in 1996, a medical centre in Sarajevo in 1997
and planning a child support
project in the Peruvian capital Lima for later
this year. |
| Michael
said "I'm very happy and proud, It
is education of children in the most
difficult circumstances that I have
wanted to focus on." |
| Ferrari
driver Schumacher shares the
award with French judo Olympic gold-medalist David
Douillet, whose work for UNESCO was also rewarded.
